Grateful and hopeful today. I've had debilitating pain for more days than not over the last 2 months. Days I was so nauseous from pain, Eric had to drive Littlest Duck places while I slept. 4 days of migraines was the absolute worst last week.

It's a gift how quickly my infusions relieve the pain for a bit. I really look forward to them and how much they seem to help.

Infusions were actually a conversation in my therapy group last week. And it was pretty neat to see how many of us partake in them. While the science isn't clear on if they're helping the disease, they do help with pain management, deficiency, and inflammation.

Also, I have reduced caffeine intake by 90%! Huge win. What’s funny is, I don’t even really like the taste of coffee. But I love the routine and culture of it. Most mornings I make a dirty chai at home on my espresso machine. There is something soothing about grinding the beans to frothing the milk.

Owning a business is an entirely different ball game when it hurts to breathe and exist. Especially when my head feels like it is going to explode…and every little thing seems like a big deal. Thankfully, my team all knows now, the ebbs and flows of my health. They take the reigns and gently guide me to the back seat

For someone who is used to being in the driver’s seat all the time, it is an absolute gift.  But last week, I apologized to my team that I was sorry that I wasn’t a good leader and I know that it had been a rough couple of months of me trying to find my foothold. Chronic illness is humbling, where you go from feeling “normal” to rock bottom in the blink of an eye. And that it takes forever to get back up to “normal”.  But I know I am lucky, that I have a team that I can trust to hold the line while I am down and out.
